Many countries also enhance their economic strength through this strategy. However, the female labor force participation rate in Japan is lower than other developed countries or even some of developing countries. Along with the continuing economic downturn in Japan, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe formulated a policy for revitalizing domestic economy after his inauguration in the end of 2012, moreover, the government formulated Women''s Active Policy to revitalize economy through helping women return to workplace in April one year later. This article researches Women''s Active Policy through economic and social aspects. Firstly, the economic aspect takes the change of real GDP, the female labor force participation rate and enterprises’ profit as the variables to examine the correlation between the policy and economic growth. Secondly, the social aspect tries to use the outcome of questionnaires taken by both governmental and non-governmental institutions to analyze the policy’s impact on the gender equality. The results of the study shows, it has significant effect on the economic aspect but little effect on the social aspect after the policy has implemented for several years.
