The novels of the Tang Dynasty profoundly influenced the literary creations of later generations, and also reflected the spatial field and cultural features of the time. The common characters in the text can use the space to construct a vivid image, the feeling of energy saving conveys turning message through the space setting, the theme can be expressed through the spatial field, and the surreal space beyond the rule of thumb becomes the author of the Tang Dynasty novel. However, the design, placement, and flow of space are intriguing. How is the character image shaped in the composition of space scenes? How does character and life experience play a role in space writing? Is the plot development driven by what kind of arrangement of space scenes? How does the episode turning message hint to be read from the spatial field? Can the theme of the novel be presented through the humanities and social aspects of space? How can even the inner spiritual space of the author be translated in front of the reader in the form of his world, dreams, and fantasy? Therefore, this study started with space theory and narrative theory, and used text analysis to find out the spatial status of Tang novels. In the novel text composed of plots, characters, and themes, how does the spatial field play its role? Present its meaning. The first chapter of this article will describe the research motives, advance research and research methods. The second chapter will analyze the relationship between the plot promotion and space setting of the novels in the Tang Dynasty. The third chapter explores how the space metaphorizes the characters in the novel. The fourth chapter then explores the role and significance of the spatial field in the performance of the theme of the novel. In chapter 5, we find out the grotesque, ridiculous and unreasonable hyper-reality space in the novel and discover what kind of reality is behind the different space. life. Therefore, it will be learned that the spatial field has a great role and significance for the plots, characters, and themes of the novel, and is no longer just a neutral existence. Regardless of whether it is a natural, social or spiritual space field, these three people always infiltrate each other in the creation of the Tang Dynasty novels. They are mutual cause and effect, and are mutually representative. They not only build a three-dimensional, rich sense of space, but also become more transparent. It reveals the deep inner cultural implication of the novel.
