Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立政治大學 === 企業管理研究所(MBA學位學程) === 106 === In 1980’s, Taiwan was known as a nation of footwear manufacturing. Because of the changing industrial environments and policies, many footwear manufacturers have moved to China and Southeast Asia, followed by the footwear supply chain. Although the export sales have been declined, footwear manufacturers in Taiwan have transformed the manufacturing business into the operating, research and development center. The survivors used their competitive advantages to collaborate with brand companies for continuous growth in this industry. In recent years the footwear manufacturing cost was ever increasing in China and Southeast Asia. Those enterprises were trying to develop lean production to improve their manufacture processes. They also actively developed automation production to reduce the cost and keep the leading positions in this industry. The main purpose of this thesis is to discover how the lean production concept and quality control circle were used at the footwear production site. At first it introduces the complete footwear manufacturing process. Then it discusses the detail production operations and issues at the injection phylon factory. Finally it summarizes the conclusions and suggestions for further research.
