Summary: | 碩士 === 明志科技大學 === 機械工程系機械與機電工程碩士班 === 106 === In this study, the Taguchi experimental method is mainly used to analyze the change of strength of small modulus gear. Analyze and find out the main factors that affect the strength of the gear, and then analyze the differences of the factors that affect the strength of the gear separately. The contents of the experiment are four different gear strength factors for research and discussion, including: 1. the change of the number of teeth, 2. the change of the module, 3. the change of the index factor and 4. the change of the gear material. The experimental data shows that the first three factors increase the gear strength by changing the gear-designed parameters, although the adjustment of the gear-designed parameters has a reinforcing effect on the gear strength; however, it increases the gear outer diameter, which is not allowed due to the limited space; thus, the outer diameter of gears cannot be increased any more.
Therefore, these experimental data finally prove that changing the gear parameters can increase the gear strength, but it cannot be applied in reality.
However, the main purpose of the experiment is to understand the variation of gear intensity for each different design, so that the strength data of different gears can be built into a data library. By doing so, designers can know in advance whether the gear strength is suitable for use in different kinds of demands for the various structures; thus, it is still necessary for the experiment to be completed.
Finally, Taguchi's experimental method is used to know the optimum designed parameters, and study the influence of each factor on the strength of the gear. Among them, the effect of reinforcing material is the most obvious, and changing the material does not increase the outer diameter of the gear. Thus in order to increase the gear strength, the best way is to change gear material for the gear reinforcement.
