Environmental protection is the past thanks, the present cherish, and the promise for the future. Today we are in Taiwan. The environmental protection achievements seen in the corner are the foundations laid by school education more than 10 years ago; at the same time, the environmental seeds we have sowed in our children also determine the appearance of Taiwan’s environment after 20 years.
Therefore, through the collection of information and the analysis of current situation, schools are encouraged to develop school-wide environmental protection courses, and at the same time guide schools to implement energy-saving and carbon-reduction facilities, and build schools to meet the six low-carbon targets (green buildings, green energy, recycling resources, green transport, and permanent Continuing the living environment and innovation as a low-carbon campus, students will be able to recognize and further implement environmental protection actions and cultivate green citizens’ qualities. After returning home after class, they will gradually influence the members of their families to implement low-carbon life.
Finally, this study used the implementation of a low-carbon campus from Shanchi Elementary School in Hsinchu County as an empirical case. The implementation status was used to bring the index weights into account. The analysis results showed that the school scored 89 points, which was in line with the low-carbon campus index.
