Summary: | 碩士 === 美和科技大學 === 運動與休閒系碩士班 === 106 === In recent years, firefighters’ workload and working hours have become heavier. Working time is often 24 to 48 hours. If additional tasks such as natural disasters or fire drills and so on are encountered, it is normal to keep working for more than 120 hours. Although firefighters have the right to take a day off for 24 hours, they are not able to take leave regularly when emergencies happen. Therefore, it is relatively difficult to participate in leisure activities. Therefore, how to use holiday time is relatively important. The main purposes of this study are: 1. To explore the current situation of leisure style, leisure satisfaction, and sense of well-being of firefighters. 2. To compare the leisure style, leisure satisfaction, and sense of well-being of firefighters with different backgrounds. 3. To analyze the relevance of leisure satisfaction and subjective well-being by participating in leisure activities while on holiday. The questionnaire method was adopted in this study, taking frontline firefighters in the Pingtung area as the research subjects. The results are as follows: 1. The most common leisure participation pattern is personal preference, the most common leisure satisfaction is relaxed facets and social aspects, and the strongest sense of well-being is optimism. 2. Firefighters from different backgrounds have significant differences in their leisure satisfaction and well-being. 3. There is a significant positive correlation between firefighters’ recreational participation patterns, leisure satisfaction, and well-being. The total leisure satisfaction of firefighters can be explained by factors such as personal hobbies, family socialization, mass culture, sports and fitness, and literary and artistic appreciation. Only literary and artistic appreciation had a negative impact on total satisfaction, with the total explained variation as high as 47.9%. The total happiness of firefighters can be explained by factors such as the psychological facet, social friendships, the relaxation facet, personal performance, and literary appreciation, with total explained variation as high as 55.7%. In conclusion, this study found that there are significant differences in the holiday leisure satisfaction and well-being of firefighters with different backgrounds. The holiday leisure participation patterns of firefighters have a significant impact on their leisure satisfaction and well-being. Therefore, the fire control authorities should actively promote participation in various leisure activities to enhance the leisure satisfaction of the frontline firefighters, increase the well-being of firefighters, and improve the concrete benefits of holiday sports and leisure.
