Most of Hsinchu local specialties locate around by Hsinchu City God Temple. Through these specialties, people can know local features and human allusions. Taiwanese Burrito is one of the most traditional local specialties in Hsinchu, which originated from Chinese allusion of Jin Wen Gong mourning Jie Zhitui. In memory of Jie Zhitui 's death, the ancients were prohibited cooking in this day. As a result, eating “Taiwanese Burrito” becomes a tradition in Tomb Sweeping Day. The study is to beautify and elaborate the package design of Taiwanese Burrito so that to create new visual images on Taiwanese Burrito package and try to enhance the culture value of local specialties. According to literature reviews, the study show cultural characteristics of Hsinchu City, and historical evolution of Taiwanese Burrito. By case analysis, the researcher collected various burrito package design cases from domestic and foreign, and summarized their appearance, pattern, typeface, color and shape. It not only helped the researcher get an overall view of burrito package design but help the further creation and application on Hsinchu Burrito Packaging Design. The study is looking forward to enhance the culture image of local specialties in Hsinchu by creating different kinds of burrito package design. The study is also expected to develop more valuable and diversified food packaging to better improve promotion and selling of Hsinchu Taiwanese Burrito.
