Considering the susceptibility of fish immune system to the change in environment, the laboratory-feed zebrafish which live in fully conditional circumstance was used in the study. The method of quantitative PCR was employed to detect the expression of immune relative genes such as gp130, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-6R, TNF-α, and the expression level will be demonstrated as the index of activity of innate immune system. Immersion bath is the common method on fish treatment for disease prevention, however, high toxicity was revealed when fish immersed to the solution of LMW-deAce chitosan, and the semi-lethal concentration was shown as low as approximately 15000 folds dilution from origin stock. In our experiment, the save dosage for zebrafish immersion concentration was suggested to 160000 folds dilution from original stock. The toxicity from LMW-deAce chitosan seems reversible, the survival rate of treated fishes will rise if those fish was immerse to flash water immediately after the treatment with semi-lethal dosage concentration for 2 hours.
