The single-subject, multiple-baseline, across-behaviors design is conducted for 14 weeks, which is divided into three phases, the baseline (three weeks), intervention (eight weeks), and maintenance ( three weeks). By applying the method of visual analysis, C statistical analysis, and effect size analysis on observed data, the study focuses on the effectiveness of using mobile instant messaging application. This is the essential way for our study evaluating our subjects’ communication skills. The interviews of family and teachers for the post-processing of social validity are also taken into concern. We have following conclusions about using mobile instant messaging application:1.It effectively enhances the ability to communicate actively;2.It does maintain the frequency of communication behaviors;3.It enhances communication skills and motivation, as well as for improving andmaintaining the effect.
