After over a decade of evolution and effort, many camping vehicle agents began to compete in the Taiwanese camper vehicle market. This study aims to explore the personal, psychological, and behavioral aspects of camper recreational participants. The traits, selection, and assessment of the properties of the environmental base for these activities are primarily based on the theories of recreation specialization proposed by Bryan (1977), and the concept of extension proposed by Kristof (1996), Cao Shengxiong, and Lin Wei (2012). This project proposes the idea of recreationist-environment fit (also called RE fit or recreational fitment), which extends the theoretical concept of the interaction between man and the environment to the recreational field, and involves specialization in recreation, recreational and environmental attribute variables, demographic statistics, and participation in variable activities, using empirical research methods such as questionnaires to collect data. A total of 377 valid questionnaires were obtained, and hypotheses were put forward through a literature review and an evaluation of related theories. The hypotheses of this study were tested using the collected data. The results of the study show that participants in the camper car activities analyzed by this survey have a background variable distribution of socio-economic background, mainly as pertains to gender, which focuses heavily on the male population; an age range from 41–50 years old; academic qualifications primarily of university graduates; a marital status of married with children; an average monthly income between 20,001–40,000 yuan; an occupation of primarily military police; and a place of residence mostly in the northern region. The time for camper activities is mostly 2-4 years. The cost of camper-related vehicles is generally less than 20,000 yuan. This study found that participant population changes (age, gender, academic qualifications, marriage, average monthly income, occupation, place of residence, duration of camper activities, average annual cost of camper-related activities) affect recreational involvement (self-fulfillment, attraction, centrality, recreation specialization, commitment, technology and knowledge, behavior, choice of recreational environment attributes, facility, wilderness, reception, management, socialization, congestion). The study also found that recreational involvement (attraction, self-actualization, and centrality) positively affects recreational specialization (commitment, technology, knowledge, and behavior). Recreational involvement (self-actualization, attraction, and centrality) can also affect recreational property selection (facility, wilderness, reception, management, socialization, congestion). Furthermore, the recreational activities of participants in recreational vehicle camping activities affected specialization (promise, technology, and knowledge), and their behavior influenced recreational property selection (facility, wilderness, reception, management, socialization, crowding). Finally, these research results can provide important insights into effective regulations for government agencies, as well as management methods for camper vehicles and related businesses to plan camper car sites and promote camper car activities.
