Summary:碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 資訊科技應用研究所 === 106 === This study investigated the current situation of job stress and the class management effectiveness of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City, and clarified the relationship between the job stress of elementary school teachers and the class management effectiveness. It was expected to fill in the deficiencies in empirical research and provide suggestions for education-related workers and future researches. A questionnaire survey method was used in this study, and the "Questionnaire of Kaohsiung City Elementary School Teacher Job Stress and Class management Effectiveness" was developed as the survey tool. A series of questionnaire surveys were made in March 2018. Research samples for the survey included elementary school teachers of Kaohsiung City in 2017 Academic Year. All of the teachers surveyed were selected by stratified random sampling. A total of 530 questionnaires were issued and 505 questionnaires were returned. The return rate was 95.3%. After sorting out the invalid questionnaires, 500 usable questionnaires were collected, yielding a usability rate of 94.3%. Data collected were analyzed by statistical techniques such as descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. According to the results of data analyzed, several important conclusions were made as follows: 1.The job stress of elementary school teachers is at low-intermediate level in this scale. 2.The class management effectiveness of elementary school teachers is at high-intermediate level in this scale. 3.There are significant differences in the job stress experienced by elementary school teachers of different age, education, seniority, and school size. 4.There are significant differences in the class management effectiveness perceived by elementary school teachers of different age, education, seniority, and school size. 5.There is a correlation between the job stress of elementary school teachers and their class management effectiveness. 6.The job stress of elementary school teachers can predict their class management effectiveness.
