Because air pollution detection is one of the most popular applications, many researches study how to efficiently deploy air pollution sensors at fixed points to monitor air quality. However, when the area is large, a great number of sensors are required, which results in a higher deployment cost.Because public transport vehicles visits most places in a city and provide regular routes and arrival time, air pollution sensors can be equipped with the public transport vehicles such that the deployment cost can be reduced. Therefore, in this thesis, we study how to deploy sensors in public transport vehicles to monitor the points of interest such that the deployment cost is minimized, termed the Vehicular Sensor Deployment (VSD) problem. We transfer the VSD problem into a directed graph to represent the relationship between points of interest and vehicles. By the obtained graph, an integer programming model is proposed and is used to find the optimal solution of the VSD problem. By removing the integrality of variables, the relaxation of the proposed integer programming model can be used to find an approximation solution. Simulation results show that the proposed methods provide a good performance. Liu, Bing-Hong 劉炳宏 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 38 zh-TW
