Description
Summary:碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 106 === The purpose of this project is to perform data communications between the devices of the proposed Real-Time controller for a Die Casting machine. The final hardware setup includes an HMI, a PLC, a CompactRIO, and a servo motor acting as a surrogate actuator for the hydraulic servo valve. The visual programming software LabVIEW is used to create programs for the dedicated hardware, constructing a reliable autonomous control system. The real-time control is administered by the cRIO, resulting in better and more efficient castings as well as less general mechanical wear for the machine’s components. The communication from the HMI to both the cRIO and the PLC was hardware-simulated successfully through the use of LabVIEW Modbus API library and a combination of network streams and global variables. The hardware test as well as their intended data communications was concluded with highly satisfying results on the HMI’s memory load and overall communication time delay.
