Therefore, we, in this study, design a “system of personalized dietary auxiliary” to balance nutrition and calories. Based on the two goals, considering users’ different weights and activities, with the usage of Genetic Algorithms (GA) and Interactive Genetic Algorithms (IGA) to solve the problem, we design and develop menus that match users’ preferences and dietary standards, and in which the calories are well controlled. We anticipate to provide a convenient tool for people who care about their own diet but cannot cook three meals because of excessive working hours to enjoy a balanced healthy diet and have their weight effectively controlled simultaneously. According to the health indexes input by users, such as height, weight, and age etc., this system obtains their Body Mass Index (BMI), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and more through calculation to help them customize their own recipes, which are made to choose and match meals by using required materials through the analysis from GA based on taking in 85% of the calories a user requires a day.
