Description
Summary:碩士 === 開南大學 === 人文社會學院公共管理碩士在職專班 === 106 === The correctional institution has a special working environment. The recipients are not the general public, but the inmates who have been convicted and sentenced to prison by the society. There are various kinds of inmates in the prison. The female correctional personnel have to face the inmates directly, and they take 24 hours to guide and control the inmates. They are on the front line all year round. In addition to their professional knowledge and skills, they also need the ability to handle what happens in the prison anytime and anywhere. Therefore, this study is mainly to explore the workplace stress of female correction personnel, and the pressure when she is facing conflicts in workplace and family. Through the discussion of social environmental stress mode, work requirement-work control mode and personal-environment adaptation mode, we can find out the source of workplace stress and provide reference for the correctional institution in policy formulation. In this study, with a self-edited semi-structured interview outline, 14 female correctional personnel were interviewed to explore the workplace pressure of female correctional personnel through internal environment orientation, external environment orientation and organizational normative orientation. After analyzing the data, it is found that the female correctional personnel have different pressures on different duties and cannot communicate with the outside during their duties. This makes the female correctional personnel who have multiple roles cannot be safely on duty, but when the conflict happens between the internal requirements of the organization and the family, most female correctional personnel will give priority to the requirements of the agency. Among the respondents, they indicated that they would feel stressful on their duties due to their lack of professional knowledge.
