Global auto sales in 2017 are expected to exceed 95 million vehicles. This study used the data of 50 listed companies in the TEJ database as the research basis and used the DEA model of the value chain to estimate operating efficiency and market efficiency. The following conclusions were obtained: There are 26 companies that have efficient operations and 12 companies that have market efficiency. The average operating efficiency is 0.248 higher than the market efficiency, and the significant level is as high as 99%. The estimation of the best intermediate output shows that 9 companies need to reduce revenue to improve efficiency, and 28 companies need to increase revenue to improve efficiency.
