With the new policy implementing five-day working per week, therefore, this study investigated the impact of job-loading on pay satisfaction and well-being of professional bus drivers in Taichung area. The participants in the study comprised 600 professional bus drivers. Questionnaires were distributed and received by using general sampling survey. 317 questionnaires, which were over 50% of response rate, are available. The methods of analysis for testing the assumptions and the effects in this study were reliability (Crobanch’s α), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression. The results of the study were as follows: 1. There was negative effect of job-loading on pay satisfaction. 2. There was positive effect of pay satisfaction on well-being. 3. There was negative effect of job-loading on well-being. 4. Pay satisfaction had an mediator effect on job-loading and well-being. The conclusions and recommendations of this study may provide to academics, industry, and government agencies as research references.
