No one can avoid it! In the face of death, the Chinese people have always been shy to discuss this issue. It may have been thought that when life was over, there were also a series of complicated funeral ceremonies in the traditional customs of Taiwan. “Honoring the dead as the living” is the traditional funeral etiquette of Chinese traditional culture. From these funeral ceremonial processes, the relatives of the deceased can do some filial piety. The author with more than ten years of practical experience in the funeral business tries to discuss the traditional funeral ceremonies, and the present funeral ceremony of Hsinchu City Funeral Administration. This study uses literature analysis and in-depth interviews. The results show that: (1) Taiwan's traditional funeral rituals are complicated; (2) the ceremony of funeral execution should strike a balance between tradition and modernity. Since the current population greatly reduced, this study also finds that the funeral business not only conforms to traditional culture but also to today’s society Hsing,Chin Chu 邢金俊 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 245 zh-TW
