According to government statistics, married Taiwanese women often have to take care of children and families. As a result of mother's parenting pressure and tendency, the full-time housewife in Taiwan has a high stress and depression index. It is important to pay attention to the emotional expression and problem solving process.
In the Mother's Day eve 2016,a news showed that a Mother suicided with her children in Juibei city. The author comprehends the self-enclosed behavior of returning to the family after marriage. Margaret Fuller,an American journalist,and women’s right advocate, proposed that motherhood is not the only woman's performance. As well as the pursuit of housewife’s self-realization, to meet individual ideals and goals, the satisfaction of life will be increased.
The author uses the metaphorical style and symbolic element to promote the idea of married women pursuing freedom of thinking. Use oil painting as media to bring people’s attention on the issues of freedom of thinking of married women, and emotional expression of married women.Hopefully that may avoid the occurrence of suicide.
