Summary: | 碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 視覺傳達設計學系碩士班 === 106 === With the advent of digital technology, aging of the population has become a major trend in the society at large, and cardiovascular diseases are the most common physical changes caused by aging. As a result, the utilization of home medical equipment has also increased. Among them, digital blood pressure monitor is the most commonly used device with the interface as main cognitive model. With the development of science and technology in recent years, most interface on digital blood pressure monitor has replaced with touch panel, so the design of interface should be clear enough for middle-aged operators to avoid confusion. In view of stated above, this study is to define the interface design on digital blood pressure monitor for middle-aged users.
To achieve this goal, this study uses questionnaires and field surveys to understand the needs and limitations of middle-aged people operating digital blood pressure monitors. After that, the elements on digital blood pressure monitor, such as type of interface, design layout, and placement of buttons, are further explored with the collection of data readings and searching time, which can be provided as the design criteria for digital blood pressure monitor with a touch panel.
The results show that graphical interface provides better image interpretation. The size of text should be larger than 12pt, the size of image should be larger than 12 × 12 mm, and the layout of images should avoid the combination of 40, 44, 52, 56, 60, 62, 64 while the text layout has no difference in this case.
