| Summary: | 碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 應用心理學系碩士班 === 106 === This purpose of this study aims to investigate the counseling and clinical psychology graduate students’ help-seeking attitudes, and the influences of the self-construal along with interpersonal intimacy abilities toward graduate students’ help-seeking attitudes are taken into discussion. This study applied online survey as the research method. The online-surveys adopted in this study were help-seeking attitude scale, self-construal scale, and interpersonal intimacy scale. The participants were 205 counseling and clinical psychology graduate students. The researching results revealed the following facts: first, the research samples indicated participants of help-seeking action experience were about 86.8 percentages. Second, the ‘independent self-construal’ and the ‘interdependent self-construal’ were positive correlation. Third, the ‘negative assertion’, ‘emotional support’, ‘initiate/disclosure’, and ‘conflict management’ were positive correlation. Fourth, self-construal was positively correlated with the interpersonal intimacy abilities. Research findings indicated that first, the help-seeking actions experience and help-seeking attitudes were not positively correlated. Second, the independent self-construal and interdependent self-construal were significantly correlated. Third, the ‘emotional support’ was the most significant factor in the interpersonal intimacy abilities, and the findings indicated that ‘emotional support’ can enhance help-seeking attitudes. Fourth, the independent self-construal and the variables of the interpersonal intimacy abilities were significantly positive correlated. Suggestions for future practices are listed as the followings, first, enhance students and the clients their psychological professional knowledge and positive experience; second, the counselors should pay much attention to personal culture difference in the field of psychological professional service. For further researches, suggestion were presented as followings: first, probe into the causes of help-seeking attitudes; second, discuss what the inner functions between self-construal and interpersonal intimacy are.
