and is the gateplace for Lanyang River entering the plain. The studied
area includes the location of the San-Hsing Township Hall and its
neighboring areas with histor y and attractive characteristics. As the
county government features the whole I-Lan county as a sightseeing
place, this study focuses on exploring the characteristics of histor y
and landscape of San-Hsing, and analyzes its current situation of
sightseeing resource and tourism status. The investigation has been
discussed in four issues to provide a tourism proposal including four
in-depth tourism routes in detail.
The purpose of this in-depth tourism proposal is to make full
use of the historical relics, landscape resources and environmental
characteristics of San-Hsing, so as to maximize the benefits of tourism
with fully-exer ting the local tours. Based on the designed in-deep
tours, the tourists could know more about the relationships between
the humanity, industrials, and environment of San-Hsing, consequently
get into the special environment and historical/cultural background of
the township and nearby area. Meanwhile, the tourists also have the
chance to experience the local activities and communicate the local
people.
