Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 哲學系碩士在職專班 === 106 === This paper is an explores on the application for helper /counselor from the concept of despair in Kierkegaard's《the sickness unto death》。 Kierkegaard believed that the problem of death lies in despair, which is the disease of self-formation. Despair comes from the human's self. As the human's self is a trait of a comprehensive body. Human is both infinite and limited, it is a trait of temporary and eternal. it is also a trait of freedom and inevitability. This kind of complex makes human has been devoting his whole life to balancing it. In the process of reconciling these two opposing factors, when human cannot properly reconcile the both to become true–self, "despair" will come into being. In order to get rid of despair, we must start with self-consciousness and despairing consciousness. Kierkegaard emphasized that people should become "self-conscious individuals", and he argued that“ belief ”can help human escape from despair as well as to solve the desperate predicament that exists, also how to overcome the difficulties of existence through faith。Through the exploration of Kierkegaard's “ despair”, we can re-examine the subjectivity of the helper/counselor and the client, and let the client have self-help so as to achieve the purpose of self-healing and to enhance the self-worth and positive outlook on life.
