A large part of the inner confusion and problematic behavior of adolescents in the middle school stage may be that they are unable to respond to their inner anxiety in this complex world and deviate from themselves. Therefore, the life education curriculum in the junior high school should be able to guide them to perceive and face the inner confusion, find the direction of life, and know how to respond to life. Yalom’s ultimate concerns is the existence of established facts that people will inevitably encounter—death, freedom , isolation, and meaninglessness. The author explores Yalom's existential psychotherapy, understands the existence of anxiety and the escaping defense model, seeks to overcome the wisdom and courage to face anxiety, and further explores how to apply it to life education in the junior high school. The life education in the movie can guide students through the film experience to perceive and reflect on life, so that they can liberate the old experience and construct the wisdom of life. The movie “The Hedgehog ” tells the story of the life of adolescent girl and middle-aged women. It reflects the common anxieties of human beings and also gives the answer to life. It is used as a teaching medium to guide students in exploring and learning the ultimate concerns of Yalom. To make students' lives rooted down and live the life they want in a rapidly changing world.
