The Food and Agriculture Education Law is about to be adopted to encourage teachers at all levels to integrate food with agriculture education courses. Both home economics education and food and agriculture education focuse on learning process. The researcher spent 12-week home economics class using a self-edited home-grown food and agriculture teaching materials to have 21 students in the eighth grade of Taipei City as the target. Qualitative information collection included the observation record of teaching activities, teaching notes, study sheets, parental feedback forms, course photos ,and student works by using qualitative analysis and induction. The goal is to analyze and assert the appropriateness of the integration of the family policy into the food and agriculture curriculum through the actual teaching and observation. The research process found that the integration of the middle school home economics curriculum with food-agricultural education can enhance students' ability to choose food ingredients, strengthen their concept of food and environmental sustainability, and allow students to combine farming harvests with cooking internships to fully understand the pleasure and achievements from soil to table. The study conclusion is as the following. First, there are three course operation phases. 1.Preparation period: enhance learners’ environmental sustainability mission and motivate students to create an open and diverse learning atmosphere. 2. Cultivation period: Learn problem-solving skills from land-friendly farming and vegetable planting to establish a win-win relationship between people and the environment. 3. Harvest period: Apply the concept of food selection to cooking classes, practice green diet, and live an environmentally friendly life.Second, it is quite appropriate to integrate food and agriculture education into the home affairs class. The course can attract students' attention to environmental sustainability, strengthen their traceability of the source of ingredients, and completely fulfil the core of food and agriculture education. Students demonstrate a high degree of motivation and affirmation in the overall performance of the learning activities. The students and their parents involved in the courses stimulate the teachers' enthusiasm. Finally, advise proposals for future research orientation and practice.
