Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 數學系碩士班 === 106 === The gist of this thesis is to present a moment matching based procedure of structure preserving model reduction of multi-input and multi-output second order systems. We aim to extend the existing Structured Quasi-Arnoldi (SQA) process by considering single-input single-output (SISO) systems into multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. First we propose a Block Structured Quasi-Arnoldi (BSQA) process to calculate the BSQA decomposition, a block version of the Strcutured Quasi-Arnoldi decomposition. The BSQA decomposition is a reduction of a square matrix to a structured two by two block matrix. Subsequently we apply similarity transformations implicitly on the structured two by two block matrix that facilitate in constructing the reduced-order model depending on whether the deflation of the BSQA process occurs or not. Finally we present some numerical experiments to validate that the proposed precedure is viable.
