博士 === 輔仁大學 === 心理學系 === 106 === This research is interesting in the effect of spiritual role in chaos-based and hope oriented career development. The author is a pastor in an university community which is the best platform of encounter and dialogue with different people. This field is also a real battle of faith practice for author’s pastoral identity. This is an action research which interweaves career exploring and christian minister’s identity. The author is a subjective actor in action and hoping to know the nature of career is chaotic but hopeful through touching his life texture and context relation, determination of sacred/secular mismanipulation, skew system construction and traditional career framework limitation. Career Theory of Chaos views career process as a dynamic system with non-linear, unexpected and self-similar characters in chaos phenomena. It is also an alternative perspective on facing the real life full of changing, complexity and uncertainty. Career Theory of Chaos figures out Strange Attractors effect on the whole system to develop a disordered but highly self-similarity called Fractal and induce to a dynamic balance in the life span. This research also overviews the changing history of vocational concept in western philosophy. The original meaning of human work is from God who called people to manage and conserve His creations. But the publicness of the calling-based career concept is limited in contemporary capital society and be transformed to the future-oriented career concept which believes present works are related to the future and essential elements to be integrated to God’s New Creation. The main value of this research is to determine the publicness of religion which is shown by author/actor’s career of faith practice. The results after explaining many effects of conflicts derive from the field of Christian presence are 1) transferring the christian calling-based career to future-oriented perspective with ontology of chaos career. 2) combining Chaos theory and Christian Eschatology to induce the agency of career moving on. 3) building up the career adaptation is from harmonizing the actor’s role exception and self identity. The hope for the ultimate beautiful career construction is from “New Creation” as a present start point of the chaos career. This start point looks forward a grand framework of career education and provides career theory a civil fundamental.
