Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 生醫資訊暨生醫工程碩士學位學程 === 106 === IDC forcasted that the global wearables products shipment volume will grows from 113 million units in 2017 to 222.3 million units in 2021, Compound Annual Growth Rate will be up to 18.4%, according to the “ Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker” 2017 report. The highest CAGR will be up to 48.7% in “Clothing” category. In the mean time, Andreas Lymberis, the Head of Sector "Wearables & Bioelectronics" at the European Commission, said “One of the current limitations and new challenges is The absence of standards and test methods. It’s essential to enable designers and manufacturers to ensure their customers that their products are safe and reliable. Also needed to help industry comply with regulatory requirements.” With the case study of “Specific Requirement for Vital Signs of Smart Textiles System - Part 1. Health Management Garment.” published by Committee for Conformity Assessment of Accreditation and Certification on Functional and Technical Textiles in Taiwan, this paper addresses how the industrial standard of the smart textile system comes out. Also, we observed how the cross-disciplinary committee cooperated smoothly with effective preparation before the meetings. First, the committee devided the whole health care context into 3 sections and 5 levels working stages and started with builing the standards for the health management products in daily life. Second, the committee using the 8 system elements to form the structure of the standards. This study shows the new way to help the cross-disciplinary committee members who come from Electronic and Textile industry to speed up the standardization process. We are looking forward to see the smart textile companies plays the leading roles in the global market by having great integration in electronic and textile technology. Rather than just pass the certification asked by the government, getting deeper involved into the standardization committee in such a new era to gain more advanced advantages in the market would be a better way to moving the industry forward.
