In the plastics processing industries such as injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, The processing machines satisfying the requirements are the necessary parts while plastic auxiliary equipment helps to achieve product optimization, automation and energy saving purposes.
The objective of this study is to make an international auxiliary equipment company to re-observe the market, find a market positioning so that can base on their own core values and advantages to sustain in this rapidly changing global market competition.
This study is based on the “Overall cost leadership", " differentiation" and "focus" proposed by Porter (1980) "Competitive Strategy". Through Porter’s Five Forces and SWOT to analysis the both internal and externally environment. And with in-depth interviews to explore and analyze the critical success factors in the competitive strategy for imported auxiliary supplier.With the interviews, respondents also considered that the price competition strategy is by no means the best strategy. Adhering to technological innovation, reliable quality, and qualifying after-service are the most favorable methods to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and consistent with the literature in the research.
The results of this study have obtained three competitive strategic factors that are favorable to imported plastic auxiliary machinery in the Chinese market. (1) The company's competitiveness comes from the product technology core; (2) reliable product quality; (3) professional talents and qualifying after-service. The imported plastic auxiliary equipment supplier should be based on "differentiation strategy" and "Focus strategy" in the corporate competition strategy.
