碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 經營管理碩士在職學位學程 === 106 === Being a long and narrow island country, Taiwan is located between two climate zones, characterized by rich environmental resources, and enabling agriculture grows. Therefore, when we trace back to the developing process of Taiwan’s economics, from laying the groundwork with agriculture to supporting agricultural development, it is obvious that the importance of agriculture leads to the national economics foundation. In order to assisting the development of agriculture, farmers’ associations are established during the Japanese colonial period and working on the agricultural production efficiency and modernization development. Until now, the farmers’ associations have the history of more than a hundred years. Going through numerous reformations and peasant movements, the farmers’ associations eventually have transformed to the most well-established and complete civil associations and become the most influential power to national economics, society, education and politics. Aside from the change of the farmers’ association management, the social responsibility also needs to be considered to assisting farming tasks and benefiting people though agriculture to improve people’s favorable impression. Thus, this study used semi-structured interviews and aimed to interview 8 members from T farmers associations. Hopefully the results found in this study can be a reference of executing social responsibility affairs for farmers’ associations and other civil organizations.
