Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 電機工程學系 === 106 === The aim of this thesis is to study a smart home power management system which can monitor and control the power usage of a house by using the wireless networks. The power management system is composed of two subsystems. The first subsystem manages the power sources of the house. It is a green power monitoring system which monitors the power generation of green power sources such as solar power and wind power. The second subsystem is an electric load monitoring system. It monitors and controls the power usage of each electrical appliance in a house. It also calculates the kilowatt-hours (kWh) usage and the monthly electric bill. The eco-friendly, smart power management system presented in this thesis includes basic functions such as power data analysis, a green energy auxiliary power supply, home appliance control, and easy demand-side management. The system uploads the measured data to a cloud database mainly through Wi-Fi wireless networks for subsequent data analysis. Users may also monitor power usage through their web browser and impose restrictions based on their demand-side management plans, so as to change wasteful energy consumption habits and reduce the standby time of electrical appliances to conserve energy. The experimental results verified the feasibility and validity of the proposed power management system performance.
