Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 化學工程學系 === 106 === Aerogels are porous materials with nano-sized pores and 3D network structure. They have great surface area and extremely high porosity. This study is divided into two parts. The first part is to use tetraethoxysilane as a precursor to prepare a wet gel via sol-gel reaction, Using trimethylchlorosilane to do surface modification then the surface of the gel becomes hydrophobic, In the final step, dry it with carbon dioxide supercritical fluid. After this process, the volume can be significantly increased from 3cm3 (Xerogel) to 18cm3 aerogel, and its surface contact angle is raised to 143°,close to a superhydrophobic material. The second part of the study was to combine aerogel with fluorescent nanomaterials. A carbon source was added during the sol-gel process, and the wet gel was dried with carbon dioxide supercritical fluid. The hafnium dioxide fluorescent aerogel was then prepared via calcination or microwaves, with a quantum yield of up to 8.5%. The future can be applied to biological detectors, white LEDs and thermal insulation materials.
