Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 工業工程與系統管理學系 === 106 === In a highly competitive business environment, there have been more and more factors needed to be considered when it comes to choosing suppliers. Aerospace industry is a capital intensive and small-volume large-variety production model, to make it hard to establish long-term partnership. Therefore, choosing suitable suppliers is never an easy task.
In the early days, decision makers select the supplier only based on the lowest price competition. However, this often led to the delay of product delivery due to suppliers’ inadequate and unstable process capacity. The purpose of this research is to study the supplier selection criterion for aerospace industry and develop a selection frame. Sorting from the literature and expert interviews, five major criteria and twenty secondary criteria are respectively proposed. From the analyzed results, the aerospace industry experts consider the most important is “Quality Capability”. While the “Customer Service Capability” is at the second place followed by “Operation Capability”. The “Quality Certification” , “Quality Management System”, “Continuous Improvement Process”, “Quality Assurance Ability”, “Inspection Instrument”, “Quality Capability”, “Nonconformity Correction and Prevention Procure”, “Customer Service Capability”, “Delivery Performance”, “Productivity”, “Organization Control ability”, “Partnership” ,and “Operation Capability” are the top priorities among the twenty secondary criteria. Building a supply chain model of aviation industry can help supervisors find the suitable supplier. In order to test the proposed model, we adopt the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology.
