A cross-sectional study design will be used on research subjects who are nurses two-year post-graduation and have been working more than three months either in a teaching hospital or a medical center located in southern and central Taiwan, respectively. Data on socio-demographic information, individual resilience, work frustrations, and the intention to stay were gathered by using the convenience-sampling method. SPSS 22.0 statistical software programs were used for analysis. A total of 390 valid questionnaires had been collected. The results show that in the socio-demographic variants, the “work units” differed markedly for work frustrations and the intention to stay arbitrariness variables (p<0.00); work frustrations were associated with psychological resilience and the intention to stay. There was a significant negative correlation between intentions (P<0.01) or age and mental toughness (P<0.01), but a significant positive correlation between age and work frustration (P<0.01) and, to some extent of work frustration on psychological resilience and retention mediating effect (p<0.001).
