There were 500 questionnaires sent-out and 500 samples returned, 479 samples were valid for further statistical analysis. This results were derived as following: 1.Active job stress possesses prediction for depression of elementary school teachers in New Taipei City, as well as time pressure, teaching and discipline pressure, administrative pressure and parental pressure could predict depression well than other variants. 2.The recreational Sports is irrelevant on depression of elementary school teachers in New Taipei City. On the other hand, active relation of Outdoor recreation and Fitness Defence Movement possesses positive prediction for depression. 3.The Internal-External locus of control is irrelevant on depression of elementary school teachers in New Taipei City. 4.The teacher job stress is relevant to depression. But, the Internal-External locus of control and recreational Sports are significantly irrelevant of depression in elementary school teachers in New Taipei City. 5.Different motor engagement time, perceived self-health and perceived self-economyof elementary school teachers in New Taipei City will strongly influence the depression. 6.People who get within 30 minutes of sports every time are more depressed than those who get 30-60 minutes of sports every time.Self-perceived health poor people are more depressed than self-perceived health good.Self-perceived economy average people are more depressed than self-perceived economy enough. Self-perceived economy not enough people are more depressed than self-perceived economy average and enough. The research suggests that elementary school teacher should cope with job stress, reduce time pressure, increase teaching and discipline knowledge, and take part in leisure sport, particularly in outdoor recreation and fitness defence movement.
