On the other hand, manufacturing costs for shoes in the value sector have been incrementally rising in Taiwan. This has made it difficult for suppliers based in Taiwan to compete. Moving production off-shore has become a requisite for suppliers to compete in the market. This article utilizes a qualitative research for Mei-Jia-Mei Footwear Mfg. Ltd. in the transitioning market using SWOT analysis and aims to provide insight into competitive strategy for inter-country investment.
