Summary: | 碩士 === 台灣首府大學 === 休閒管理學系碩士班 === 106 === The leisure activity are important activities in busy life of the present day. People frequently decrease their leisure activity due to constraint resulting from different causes, especially for undergraduate students. The leisure constraints derived from undergraduate students with different backgrounds may be various causes. Therefore, understanding impacts of various leisure constraints on understanding undergraduate students with different backgrounds is worth with a reference for householder, university, enterprise and government. The goals of this study are: (1) understanding and exploring possible leisure constraints based on undergraduate students; (2) analyzing and comparing differences of leisure constraints between undergraduate students with different backgrounds; and (3) proposing appropriate suggestions and strategies to reduce leisure constraints of undergraduate students, and then increase their leisure activities.
This study data were collected from undergraduate students live in southern Taiwan. After reviewing the related literatures, the research structure is combined to form the research framework. This study adapted “Questionnaire for the Leisure Constraints of College Students” as an investigation tool. Stratified random sampling method was used for questionnaire survey, 686 questionnaire copies were collected at the recovery rate is 88.1%. The appropriate statistical methods were used for analyzing the correlations between different background variables and three components of leisure constraints for undergraduate students. Three components of leisure constraints are individual intrinsic, interpersonal relationship, environmental information.
The study results show that: (1) Environmental information is the highest impact in three components of leisure constraints for undergraduate students devote leisure activity; (2) The components of leisure constraints for interpersonal relationship and environmental information have significant differences between undergraduate students of different genders; (3) There are significant differences for the living conditions of undergraduate students between two components of leisure constraints, individual intrinsic and interpersonal relationship; (4) One component of the leisure constraint-environmental information has significant differences among different ages of undergraduate students; (5) There are significant differences on an environmental information component among different grades of undergraduate students; (6) The background-money use for undergraduate students has no significant difference among three components of leisure constraints, individual intrinsic, interpersonal relationship and environmental information; (7) The background-durations of leisure activities for different undergraduate students has significant differences on interpersonal relationship component of leisure constraints; (8) The background-academic pressure for different undergraduate students has significant differences on individual intrinsic component of leisure constraints; (9) Leisure Constraints have significant positive correlation with background variables.
