Description
Summary:碩士 === 大漢技術學院 === 流通與行銷管理研究所 === 106 === This study investigated how high schoolers’ shooting experience activities influence their cognition of national defense. A total of 346 students from a private high school in Hualien County participated in the survey. This study referred to three dimensions including knowledge of weapon, national defense policy and national security. A questionnaire was designed as a measurement instrument for assessing students’ cognition of national defense. The collected questionnaires were then subject to descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t-tests, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient analysis. According to data analysis, students of different backgrounds displayed significant learning difference after shooting experience activity. Cognition of weapon, national defense policy and national security manifested moderate correlation. Those who took part in all four shooting experience activities were found to be positively correlated. The result shows that once shooting experience activity was introduced into national defense instruction, students exhibited less cognition of national defense policy-related issues in comparison of other topics. It is suggested, therefore, military instructors pay more stress on students’ reflective thought about the activity, thus motivating and enhancing students’ patriotism on the one hand and cultivating students’ overall consciousness of national security.
