In the engineering design stage, design errors and conflicts can be detected, problems can be solved in advance, unnecessary cost expenditures in the construction phase can be reduced, and the overall efficiency and significant benefits of the construction project can be improved. Therefore, this study intends to use the BIM technology to actually build the steel bar model, simulate the actual reinforcement situation to solve the current design process of the reinforced concrete structure, only consider the mechanical behavior of the column beam frame, and pass the required amount of steel through the structural technician experience or habit. To allocate the number of main ribs and counts of each beam and column, but rarely to review the construction problems, resulting in the situation often difficult to construct. Due to the long-standing structural design habits, the side of the beam and the side of the column are aligned or the width of the beam is equal to the width of the column. As a result, the construction manufacturer configures according to the figure, but the steel bar collides on the site, and needs to move by itself to eliminate problem. In today's 2D design, and only the legendary reinforcement scheme is expressed, the actual size of the steel bar is not fully considered, resulting in insufficient sectional space, difficulty in construction, or uneven distribution of pellets. It will be the purpose of this study to discuss how to adjust the reinforcement principles or practices to address the above issues and to provide reinforcement design improvements for future 3D design environments.
