Summary:碩士 === 健行科技大學 === 企業管理系碩士班 === 106 === The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between participating volunteer service and successful aging of older adult. Semi-structured interview was used in this study. The samples were consisted citizen (over 65 years old) volunteers who serviced at Tzu Chi Foundation. And then, the conclusions obtained by coding, analysis, and induction. The conclusions of this study are summarized as follows: 1) The main motives for elderly people to participate in volunteer services are self-interest and benevolence. They can obtain spiritual satisfaction and spiritual happiness through participating in volunteer services. 2) Senior citizen volunteers agree with physical health, psychological adjustment, social participation and others to achieve successful aging. 3) Elderly participation in volunteer service can help demonstrate the meaning and value of later life, and then into the successful aging. In this study, we also provided suggestions to improve the effectiveness of volunteer service, organizational service quality, and put forward relevant theories and practices for aged society.
