Under these circumstances, the removal and treatment of heavy metals is very important and urgent. Activated carbon has good porosity and specific surface area. It is widely used in clean water, no matter in reclaimed water or domestic sewage , it both has good effect ,so this study assuming that activated carbon must have a good effect on the adsorption of heavy metals. In the study, four kinds of activated carbons were used, one of them was “activated carbon” which made by laboratory. The preparation method was to prepare activated carbon by hydrothermal synthesis using glucose as a raw material, and form coke in the first step of carbonization. Under the analysis of the aiming electron microscope, the shape of the carbon sphere is flat and smooth, and the activation of the second step is carried out. This study uses a chemical activator of K2CO3. After the addition, the carbon sphere is analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. Underneath, it can be clearly observed that K2CO3 will destroy the surface of the carbon sphere, so that the smooth structure of the carbon sphere changes, and more damaged carbon pellets are formed, and in the photograph taken under the SEM(Scanning Electron Microscopy), It is a large number of agglomerates. Under the BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) detection analysis, activated carbon has a good specific surface area (1,1182.3 m2/g) and porosity (2.13 nm). These four kinds of activated carbon are made of coconut shell and other raw materials. The self-made activated carbon raw material is glucose, and the four activated carbons are respectively represented. Commercial activated carbon one (yellow label) and commercial activated carbon two (blue label). Commercial activated carbon three (green label), self-made activated carbon, a sample solution of 5 ppm of nickel and lead prepared as a sample for adsorption of various activated carbons, and four activated carbons are respectively placed in a sample solution of lead and nickel to The bottle is loaded into the oscillating machine and rotated at 150 rpm for 24 hours. The activated carbon and heavy metal solution can be fully adsorbed and detected by ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) instrument. The detection result is the best adsorption effect of self-made activated carbon, no matter The adsorption effects of lead and nickel sample solutions are 97.48% and 95.54%, respectively, but other activated carbon adsorption effects are also available, but the adsorption effect is limited, but commercial activated carbon two (blue label) and commercial activated carbon three (green label) The standard has a good performance for the adsorption of lead. The adsorption effect can be between 31.2% to 37.2%, but the adsorption effect of three commercial activated carbons on nickel is only between 13% to 16%. It is confirmed that glucose is used as raw material. Made Carbon have a fairly good adsorption of heavy metals lead and nickel solution.
