The need for more practitioners has been skyrocketing, and more highly-educated people have entered the beauty industry. According to the “2016 Taiwan Turnover and Employee’s Movement Survey” composed by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Executive Yuan, to date, the cosmetology and hairdressing job market mainly offers labor-intensive lower-level service jobs, with long working hours and low salaries. Therefore, practitioners in the cosmetology and hairdressing industry were recruited as participants in this study to examine the correlations among variables—how personality traits and social support affected job burnout and job satisfaction. A total of 318 valid questionnaires were obtained. Results revealed that personality traits, social support, and job burnout had significant effects on job satisfaction. Personality traits had significant effects on social support. Social support had significant effects on job burnout. However, personality traits did not have significant effects on job burnout. Finally, this study proposes concrete suggestions as a reference for related companies and future researchers.
