Objective:To discuss the effects on female Flexibility, Core Strength and Lower Extremity from Aerial yoga and Traditional yoga. Method:This study was based on female members in Chayi Aerobic Yoga Sports Center at Fengshan District. There were twelve Aerobic yoga members as the experimental group, and twelve Traditional yoga members as the control group. Each group took three times of training course per week, with a total of eight weeks. Each time they took their own training course for an hour, which Aerobic yoga group uses spandex, and traditional yoga group without using any assistive device. Each group took tests out of flexibility (forward flexion), Core Strength(one minute sit-ups, one minute back hyperextension exercise), and Lower Extremity (Counter Movement Jump), both before and after the course. By using descriptive statistics, paired T-test, and one-way ANCOVA (analysis of one-way covariance) on the results will be able to achieve the purpose of this study.Results:After Aerial yoga Training both female Flexibility, Core Strength and also Lower Extremity all reaches significant differences(p<.05),After T raditional yoga Training both female Flexibility, Core Strength and also Lower Extremity all reaches significant differences(p>.05);comparing the results after Aerial yoga and Traditional yoga Training both female Flexibility, Core Strength andalso Lower Extremity all achieved significant differences(p<.05).Conclusion:Eight weeks of Aerobic yoga training will improve flexibility and enhance the control of Core Fitness and Lower Extremity more than traditional yoga training.
