Previous studies have found that rutin can inhibit angiotensin converting enzyme activity and reduce aldosterone to lower blood pressure in vitro and in vivo. The purpose of this study was to investigate the regulatory effect of rutin drink on blood pressure. In a randomized controlled trial, the experiment group received 2 cans of test drinks (60 mg rutin) daily for 12 consecutive weeks. The results showed that systolic blood pressure (β = -0.503, p < 0.001) and diastolic blood pressure (β = -0.458, p < 0.001) were significantly lowered in the experiment group. There was no significant change in angiotensin I and angiotensin II concentration in both groups. The reduced level of angiotensin converting enzyme (β = -1.277, p < 0.001) and aldosterone (β = -2.943, p = 0.042) concentration were found in the experiment group. In addition, angiotensin converting enzyme also showed positive correlations with systolic blood pressure (R = 0.601, p = 0.002) and diastolic blood pressure (R = 0.423, p = 0.039). Therefore, we conclude that the daily supplement of 2 cans of rutin drinks can help to downregulate blood pressure by lowering the concentration of angiotensin converting enzyme and aldosterone. 王進崑 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 97 zh-TW
