Description
Summary:碩士 === 嘉南藥理大學 === 觀光事業管理系 === 106 === The Sihchongsi hot spring is a famous and historic hot spring in the southern Taiwan. The only hot spring outcrop had dried up since 2000 because the over-pumping of thermal wells of bathhouses. The previous studies show the hydraulic heads of hot spring aquifers are also declining due to the over-pumping of thermal wells since 2000. However, there is no study of withdrawal volumes of hot spring and the correlation between withdrawal volume and hydraulic heads is unclear. The purpose of this study is to analyze data of withdrawal volumes of thermal wells from 14 bathhouses in 2016 and install smart water meter in two wells—the Da-Sun and Public Bathroom in April of 2017. The hydraulic heads and water temperature have been monitoring in five wells since 2007. The data of this study show the total amount of withdrawal of thermal water for the total 14 bathhouses was approximately 200,000 m3/y in 2016 while the safe yield for the Sihchongsi hot spring area is 430,000 m3/y. The top four bathhouses for the withdrawal are Da-Sun, Cing-Cyuan, Mu-Dan-Fong-Cing and Public Bathroom with accounted for 76% of the total withdrawal amount. Therefore, the hydraulic heads of the monitoring wells around these four bathhouses were the lowest. The data from the smart water meter in Da-Sun show that there is no obvious difference in pumping behavior between day and night since May 2017. The withdrawal amount is obviously more on Fridays. The average withdrawal amount per month is about 5,442 m3. As to Public Bathroom, daily pumping time is mainly from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the pumping amount reduces gradually after 8 p.m.. The pattern suggest that the main users are the people who get up early to exercise. In addition, the pumping amount is a little more on Saturdays and Sundays. The average withdrawal amount per month is about 1,650 m3. In summer, the total withdrawal amount of the two wells is much lower, and so is the daily withdrawal amount. From June to September, the head is ascending gradually. In fall and winter, daily withdrawal amount increases sharply. From October to December, the head is descending gradually. The distance between the pumping well and the monitoring well in Da-Sun is approximately 7.4 m. The discharge of the pumping well is approximately 0.05-0.25 m3/min, and that causes about 1 m drawdown in the monitoring well. In the Public Bathroom the pumping well and the monitoring well is the same one. The pumping amount is 4.5 m3/h and the largest drawdown can be up to 8 m.
