碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 戰略暨國家安全碩士在職專班 === 106 === This study aims to examine the correlation between high school students’ personal background and their exposure to national defence policy with their willingness to enrol into the military.The study adopts the questionnaire survey method from a random sampling of the third year students from the National Chiayi Senior Industrial Vocational School in the year 2017. The key findings from the study are as follows：First, In general, high school students score medium high towards understanding of defence policy and willingness to enrol. Second, In analysing the effect of the student family background on their understanding the defence policy, there are significant differences depending on the school system they are in and their parent occupational category. In analysing the students’ willingness to enrol, there are significant differences depending on the student’s gender, parents’ occupation and parents’ education level. Third,there is a positive correlation between the students’ exposure to national defence education and their willingness to enrol.Fourth,There is a positive correlation between the students’ understanding of the recruiting system and their willingness to enrol.
