The key findings from the study are as follows:First, In general, high school students score medium high towards understanding of defence policy and willingness to enrol. Second, In analysing the effect of the student family background on their understanding the defence policy, there are significant differences depending on the school system they are in and their parent occupational category. In analysing the students’ willingness to enrol, there are significant differences depending on the student’s gender, parents’ occupation and parents’ education level. Third,there is a positive correlation between the students’ exposure to national defence education and their willingness to enrol.Fourth,There is a positive correlation between the students’ understanding of the recruiting system and their willingness to enrol.
