Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育學系碩士在職專班 === 106 === The purpose of this study is to explore the current circumstances and the correlation between the meaning of life and the needs for life education after the nursing students undergo intern program. Furtherly, it explores the possible predictor of needs for life education. The research method is based on the cross-sectional study design. A total of 360 college graduates from a medical college in the southern part of Taiwan are selected as research subjects. Structured questionnaires are conducted, which include four parts: social demographic variables, internship experience, the meaning of life and the needs for life education. 290 valid questionnaires are returned. The researcher applied SPSS 18.0 statistical analysis software to conduct percentage analysis, mean value analysis, standard deviation analysis, T-test, analysis of variance, product moment correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis to analyze the collected data. The major findings of the study are as follows: first, in the aspect of social demographic variables, there are more female subjects. It shows no gender difference in internship experience, the meaning of life and needs for life education of the nursing students. Religious beliefs have a positive influence on internship experience, the meaning of life and the needs for life education. Participating in relevant courses of life education also has a positive influence on internship experience and the meaning of life, but it shows no influence on needs for life education. Well-prepared nursing knowledge and skills would obviously affect internship experience, the meaning of life, and the needs for life education. Second, the research subjects have good internship experience throughout the year, and generally affirmed positive achievements after internship. But overall, their internship experience about mentors is generally lower than other aspects. Third, the nursing students have higher sense toward the meaning of life and better sense for self-devotion, love and care after internship. Fourth, after internship, they become more independent and more willing to work in the nursing profession in the future. Fifth, there is positive interrelation between internship experience and the meaning of life. Sixth, internship experience and needs for life education are positively correlated with each other. Seventh, internship experience and the meaning of life have predictability toward the needs for life education. However, the predictive value is only 10.5%, which shows that there are still other factors affecting nursing students’ needs for life education.
