The process by which inmates adapt to prison life by adopting the customs of inmate subcultures is" Prisonization " or " Institutionalization". Is it possible that " Institutionalization " was found from correctional Officers, who spends most of time with prison inmates in the prison every day? In recent years, the case of inmates attacked correctional officers come out one after the other in correctional facilities. Salaries are low and working conditions are bad, so the correctional Officers always a high turnover rate. Therefore,the working characteristics and pressure of correctional officers gain social attention. The female job role and family role are very different from male, and also different in congenital physical and mental. This study would like to explore is the job role could be conflict with family role ? Is this job affects their health? The study employed a purposive sampling and in-depth interviews with 4 prison correctional officers. Through interview to found out the changes and adjustment of being a correctional officers, and the effects of prison discipline. From this study can know the female prison correctional officers is the same as the inmates, they more or less had institutionalization in order to adapt the working environment, roles and regulations. Whether the effect it is internal or external. No matter the physical and mental have changed. because those influences and changes ,the female prison correctional Officers decide to stay or leave correctional system. Based on the conclusions of this research, the proposed suggestions are as the following: (1)Supplementary manpower;(2) Set up a well communication system and promote the right of Correctional Officers;(3)Strive for reasonable income treatment;(4) Encourage Prison Correctional Officers to participate in full range of leisure activities;(5) keep learning professional knowledge and skills;(6) Implement professional prison management;(7)Improve high pressure workplace.
