This study discusses why woman choose to enter police workplace, which is very much male-dominated, if they can fit in police work and male police officers’ perspectives. This study uses quantitative method. In-depth interviews with 6 police officers, 3 for each gender respectively, were conducted. The findings are following: 1. The reason why woman choose to be a police officer: Apt to hold conservative attitude regarding career choice, Encouragement from relatives and friends, Relatively high acceptance rate of police examination, searching for sense of achievement. 2. Difficulties woman faces in police work and field duty can be divided into four faces: system, facility, external and internal. 3. Male police officers’ perspectives on their female colleagues can be classified into: positive along with negative opinions, being affected by others’ judgement, proper ratio between male and female police officers, advantages woman has in police workplace. Policy implications according to the findings are made, including reasonable working time, renovating office buildings, merging small police stations, proper ratio between male and female police officers, implement of elimination during internship, and gender equality training.
