Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 機械工程系研究所 === 106 === Occlusion is one of the important references to design dental product, and bad occlusion causes the problem like TMJ disorder and bruxism. In digital dentistry, digital articulator plays a role to simulate patient's occlusion. But recent digital articulator only digitalizes the mechanism of the articulator, it can't fully simulate patient's mandibular movement. Moreover, recent processs flow relies on facebow transfer and model casting which makes the flow incomplete. To overcome this shortcoming, we will build a personal virtual articulator based on tracking of mandibular movement which can simulate individual mandibular movement. We use CT data to replace facebow transfer and complete the digital flow. With collision detection, it can evaluate the occlusion or teeth interference so that the dentist can use the information to design denture or crown and bridges. Our system can be applied to the design of splint. Furthermore, we design an experiment to assess the accuracy of our system to simulate the mandibular movement of a patient. The result shows the maximum distance error is less than 1.8 mm.
